Happy New Year! GET WRITING!

2012 has been such an amazing year for me, there were author visits all over the UK including some children's hospitals, I took part in my first literacy festival, I started teaching creative writing to grown ups, the release of Noah Ramsbottom and the Great Gold Robbery as an E-book and Sam Marsh and the Battle of the Cloudships (which has gone into libraries and book stores all over the world!), I started work on some really exciting new projects and continued with some old favourites!
2013 looks like it going to be even more brilliant! More author visits already booked, teaching weekends for the FSC organised and book signings arranged. Jacob's War will finally be published. And if I get a spare minute I'll do some writing!
I'd like to thank everyone who I've had the pleasure of working with in 2012 (I've met some amazing people) everyone who came to library and festival events and book signings, everyone who wrote to or emailed me, and especially everyone who bought a book! But most of all I'd like to thank my fantastic friends and family and my amazing wife, Kristen! None of this would be remotely possible without her!
HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE! GET WRITING!

URGENT! Please love the Romanian Underdogs!

Please love the Romanian Underdogs!

THIS IS URGENT!

Last week the staff at Romanian Underdogs discovered an abandoned illegal kill shelter in Romania, and out of the 200 dogs left there to die a slow death, only 47 were still alive.

Although the shelters supported by this organisation already have over 500 dogs in their care, they made space for the 47 poor souls!

I will be interviewing the angels at Love Underdogs and writing an article in the New Year, but please go to their website and make a donation, every gift no matter how small, makes a big difference!

Send just 5 Euros to make a Spanish Greyhound warm this winter!

Please take a moment to send just 5 Euros to make a Spanish Greyhound warm this winter!

Spanish Greyhounds or Galgos are some of the most badly treated dogs on the planet, but just 5 Euros will buy a cold dog a warm coat this winter!

Please send 5 Euros! Or more if you can afford it. It makes a massive difference to a life!

Why Give Your Child A Book This Christmas?

Why Give Your Child A Book This Christmas? My article in The Yorkshire Times.

Wonderful Whithorn children's work!

Some of the work done by children in Whithorn, Dumfries and Galloway, Scotland on a recent author visit.

Noah Ramsbottom and Tiggleplod pushed open door number six and saw a planet with buildings made on stilts and then they suddenly stopped!

Noah Ramsbottom steps into a door and is in the WAR! With Itler!

Noah Ramsbottom and Coolplod pushed open door number 3002 and saw thousands and thousands of horses, there were all different horses like showjumpers, showing horses, racehorses and sprinters. Noah and Coolplod rode every single horse and they named their favourite horse Sammy. They thought it was the best horse they had ever seen so they decided to steal it. So they took it out of the door and it disappeared. Noah was very sad and so was Coolplod, they started to cry.

Noah Ramsbottom and Lilyplod opened door number 2040 and it was covered with spiders and bugs and Lilyplod and Noah were scared as every step they moved they stood on bugs! And they got so scared that they lit a candle and went to door 5400 and it took them to cupcake land and there were lots of cupcakes so they ate them. Some were chocolate and some strawberry!

Noah Ramsbottom and Honeyplod pushed open door number 14 and saw a maze. they followed all the paths and got to the middle and saw a rainbow. And then they followed the rainbow and at the end they found a pot of gold.
