Magic Manchester!

Two fantastic Manchester schools, St Catherine's and St Clare's, rounded off an awesome WBD week for me this week.
Some of the creative writing at both of these schools was the best I've ever seen and I'm looking forward to posting some of it on this blog!

WBD WEEK - Three brilliant schools in three days!

So far I've driven about 500 miles this week visiting the smallest school I've ever visited, Grewelthorpe Primary, the fantastic Ackworth Howard Junior and Infant School and the excellent St Wilfrid's in Manchester. I've done workshops with all ages from Nursery to Year 6, using all my books. 

I'm looking forward to seeing photos from the visits and publishing some of the exceptional work on this blog!  

Now I'm really looking forward to WBD and Friday in Manchester schools. 

Visiting primary schools all over the country is one of the best parts of being a children's author!

FULL - World Book Day Week 2014!

World Book Day Week is now FULL!  

I'm really looking forward to starting my week in the beautiful Yorkshire Dales, before heading down to West Yorkshire before spending three days in Manchester! It's a real mix of tiny country schools and large inner city ones.  I love visiting all different kinds of schools!

WORLD BOOK DAY WEEK 2014!

I still have a couple of days available for WBD Week 2014, the week commencing 3rd March 2014.

But these dates are getting booked up FAST!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Happy New Year everyone! 

2013 was an excellent year for me as a writer. After a long wait Jacob's War was published to a really great reception. I finished the fourth 'Noah' book, which should be out very soon. I have finished Sam Marsh and the Lunar War draft one. And a new novel with the working title 'The boy with two names' is almost complete!

 

In 2013 I also visited more schools than ever before, I did five radio interviews and took part in the amazing Manx Lit Fest!

 

But I'm determined that 2014 is going to be even bigger and better! A number of schools have already made bookings for author visits as has the Ryedale Literary Festival for the autumn. Noah Ramsbottom and the Runaway Sphinx is due to be published very soon and I'm hoping to get the research for a new book underway! 

 

I would like to say a huge 'thank you' to everyone who has supported my work in 2013 and I look forward to meeting loads more of you this year!
